according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him.
In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. For I go away to prepare a place for you;
For we know that, if our earthly tenthabitation be destroyed, we have a building provided by God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens.
but now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly. Wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he prepared for them a city.
After these things I saw, and lo! a great multitude, which no one could number, out of every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands. And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb.
And I say to you, that many will come from the east and the west, and recline at table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
And from the east and the west and the north and the south will men come, and take their places at table in the kingdom of God.
And they sing a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open its seals; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed to God by thy blood men out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And I said to him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
knowing that not with perishable things, silver or gold, were ye redeemed from your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;
Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
And I say to you, Every one that acknowledgeth me before men, him will the Son of man also acknowledge before the angels of God.
Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in thy name, and in thy name cast out demons, and in thy name work many miracles? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
and as we bore the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
But we all with unveiled face beholding in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.
who will transform the body of our humiliation so that it shall be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of the power with which he is able to subdue all things to himself.
Beloved, now are we children of God, and it hath not yet been manifested what we shall be. We know that, when it shall be manifested, we shall be like him; because we shall see him as he is.
through which he hath given us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God.
He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit with me on my throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.
And they heard a loud voice from heaven, saying to them, Come up hither; and they went up into heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
and whoever liveth and believeth in me will never die. Believest thou this?
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a loud summons, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are living, we who are left, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
And I heard a loud voice out of the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, their God;
and when I have gone away and prepared a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, ye also may be.
then we who are living, we who are left, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
and they will see his face, and his name will be upon their foreheads.
His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! thou hast been faithful over a little, I will place thee in charge of much; enter into the joy of thy lord.
I say to you, that in like manner there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninetynine righteous men who have no need of repentance.
These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Is it not even ye, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.
looking to the author and perfecter of the faith, Jesus, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
an indication of the righteous judgment of God, by which ye will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye are also suffering; since it will be just with God to repay distress to them that distress you, and to you the distressed rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be manifested from heaven, with the angels of his might,
For we who believed enter into the rest, as he hath said: "So I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter into my rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Write, Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they shall rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
For when they have risen from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels in heaven.
but they who have been accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage; for they cannot die any more; for they are like the angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine upon it; for the glory of God lightened it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Then will the righteous shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh out for us, in a higher and still higher degree, an everlasting weight of glory;
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light;
when Christ, our life, shall be manifested, then will ye also be manifested with him in glory.
Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
that ye should walk in a manner worthy of God, who is calling you to his own kingdom and glory.
and when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye will receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
For I esteem the sufferings of the present time as of no account, when compared with the glory which is about to be revealed to us.
The elders among you I exhort, who am a fellowelder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a sharer in the glory that is to be revealed;
